Auto Pack

Overview

Auto Pack is built with privacy in mind. Your items and trips are your data. We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising or tracking purposes.

Data Stored on Your Devices

All items, trips, and packing lists you create are stored locally on your device and synced across your Apple devices using Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) service. This data is managed entirely by Apple's infrastructure and is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

We do not have access to your iCloud data.

Data Sent to Our Servers

To provide AI-powered features, the following data is sent to our servers for processing:

• Item names — sent when you add or re-categorize items, so the AI can assign a category, climate tags, and activity tags.
• Trip descriptions and destinations — sent when you create a trip with a description, so the AI can suggest climate and activity details.

This data is processed in real time and is not stored on our servers after the response is returned. No personal identifiers (such as name, email, or device ID) are sent with these requests.

Device Attestation

Auto Pack uses Apple's App Attest service to verify that requests to our servers come from a genuine copy of the app. This process generates an anonymous device token that is stored locally on your device. The token contains no personally identifiable information.

Third-Party Services

Auto Pack uses the following third-party services:

• Apple iCloud (CloudKit) — for syncing your data across devices. Managed by Apple.
• Supabase — for hosting the AI processing functions. Item names and trip descriptions are sent to Supabase Edge Functions for categorization and analysis. No data is stored after processing.

We do not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Reminders Access

If you choose to import items from the Reminders app, Auto Pack requests read-only access to your Reminders. This data is read locally on your device and is only used to populate your item library. Reminder data is not sent to our servers — only the item names are sent for AI categorization.

Data Retention

We do not retain any user data on our servers. AI processing requests are handled in real time and discarded immediately after a response is generated. Your items and trips are stored only on your devices and in your personal iCloud account.

Children's Privacy

Auto Pack does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. The app does not require an account or any personal information to use.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
